This Sunday (3/22) is World Water Day, and the beginning of UU Ministry for Earth’s “Spring for Change: a Season of Sacred Activism” (March 22-May 22).
What a theme for this moment, “Spring for Change”... there is no doubt that change is upon us and that we must adjust quickly and in enormous ways.
What remains to be discovered is how we will spring. How shall we move, together, in this historic time?
Can we spring forth like water? Adapting to the landscape and context around us --- carrying life, abundance, the rhythm of tides? Transforming our landscapes and contexts with the power of our coming together and collective motion?
That is my hope and prayer for this community of faith.
Water flows from high in the mountains.
- Thich Nhat Hahn
May we hold each other and our planet in care and good company as we navigate these turbulent times.
I hope you can join one of the UU Ministry for Earth’s programs this week, listed below. May may spring for change together, united and strong.
