UU Ministry for Earth

Dear friend,

As the summer winds down and a new liturgical church year begins, people of faith and conscience will join communities all over the world to Rise for Climate, Jobs, and Justice this weekend. What a beautiful and powerful way to kick off a new season with determination and bold vision for a just and sustainable world!

In this time of change and renewal, UU Ministry for Earth invites you to reflect and set new intentions for engaging deeply in the call for climate and environmental justice.

Prayers

INSPIRATION

What is your prayer for sacred waters?

The clarity and strength of the Water Protector's prayers rippled out waves of inspiration for self-determination and clean water around the world. Take a moment to reflect on how the upwelling of Indigenous-led and community-led movements to protect sacred waters has made an impact on your own perspective and relationship to water.

ACTIVATION

Join the Sept. 13th Webinar on UU Solidarity with Indigenous Water Protectors

This summer, Unitarian Universalists passed an Action of Immediate Witness expressing a commitment to ongoing solidarity with Indigenous Water Protectors. On the evening of September 13th, UUs will have the opportunity and honor of joining a webinar with Indigenous Water Protectors and family members who are facing federal charges and prison sentences. Join this call for an update on the movement and a chance to deepen involvement.
